Reporting to the Vice President for University Advancement, the Executive Director of Development serves as the chief development officer for HSU and is responsible for the analysis, planning, and implementation of all fundraising programs for the University including annual giving, special giving, major giving, planned giving, prospect research and management, and advancement services.
The Executive Director of Development will be a dynamic and experienced professional who: has progressively responsible supervisory experience in fundraising, preferably in a college or university setting; holds a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education (with a Master’s degree preferred); has familiarity with contemporary issues and best practices in higher education advancement and fundraising; and has knowledge of the CASE Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines.
