The Laboratory Director provides leadership of clinical and anatomical pathology services, directly overseeing operations and network strategy implementation. Inherent responsibilities include strategic and operational planning and control, human resource development and evaluation, financial responsibility for all direct expenses, and all elements involved in ensuring quality enhancement and the achievement of agreed upon operational outcomes, using a performance improvement model to achieve best of class performance in the key result areas. Directs the development of yearly budgets and productivity standards at each labororatory location.
Bachelors degree in Clinical Lab Science or relevant field with ASCP Specialty Certification required. Master’s Degree with a minimum of 6 year technical supervisory experience in a Clinical Laboratory is required. General knowledge of all types of clinical and anatomical laboratory procedures.
